The story of a shampoo refined over nine years
In the winter of 2017, my scalp felt tight every time I washed my hair, and the shampoo scent gave me a heavy head. I wanted to make those five minutes, the longest time I close my eyes during the day, a little more comfortable.

First formula, 300 bottles
We mixed only mild cleansing ingredients into water infused with eucalyptus and rosemary. We shared it with friends and neighbors and wrote down "how it felt after washing" one by one.
The scent is great, but it lathers so little that I have to wash twice.

The sentence pinned to the wall while rewriting the formula in 2021
In 2022, we went to see the ingredients ourselves. The scent of the same rosemary varies every year, so now we check the harvest year before receiving it.

The year we reduced a layer of scent
"If I wash before bed, the scent follows me to the pillow" was the most common feedback. We reduced the eucalyptus and laid down a base of rosemary, so it's deep like a forest when wet and leaves a faint scent when dry.

Start with just the shampoo and add only what you need. All three bottles have the same forest scent, so they won't clash when used together.
- If your scalp gets oily quickly after washing, use only shampoo, and apply conditioner only to the ends of your hair.
- If your scalp feels tight after washing, add a drop of tonic to your shampoo
- If your hair is rough from dyeing or perming, use conditioner for 3 minutes after shampooing
- If washing in the morning, just shampoo and conditioner; tonic at night

If I wash in the evening, my crown feels light until the next afternoon. I like that the scent isn't too strong the most.
It felt less tight than usual in winter. You really only need one drop of tonic.
The foam is dense but rinses quickly. I wish the refill pouch opening was a bit wider.

- The pump head is still plastic. We are testing a paper pump.
- The conditioner becomes a bit thick in the bathroom during midwinter
- We keep hearing that the opening is too narrow when squeezing in the refill pouch
